Tayler graduated from UH Manoa with a minor in art and has a gift for cultivating community wherever she goes. Matt graduated with a BFA from the University of Tennessee and has been teaching ceramics for the last 5 years.

Matt and Tayler met while looking at a marketplace ad for free clay. Jerome Heck had passed away and his wife, Darlene was ready to donate all his equipment and material so they jumped at the opportunity to continue his legacy and share it with the community. 5 years later they finally found a space to house the equipment which became the North Shore Arts Center.
